About Us
Longwood Hills Congregational Church
Welcome!

We are glad you’re visiting our web site. We believe that all
people are part of one big family—God’s family.

Whether you are married or single, young or old, you are
among friends here. We all find our purpose in life and our
connection with each other in the wonderful fact that God loves
us. God has an exciting plan for your life and we are here to
help you discover that plan and follow God’s will.

If you attend one of  our services you will notice many friendly
faces, people who love Jesus and have committed their lives
to following him. Our church is committed to serving you and
helping you grow closer to God.

No matter where your path has taken you before today, or what
kind of challenge you may be facing tomorrow, you are in the
right place.

Wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here!
Our Services

At Longwood Hills Congregational Church  you can worship
your way. We offer two distinct styles of worship. The scripture
readings and sermon are the same at both services and the
focus is always on God. However, the music and prayers are
different in order to reach people from different backgrounds
and faith traditions. We are sure you will find one that speaks
to you.

Traditional Service- 9:00 am
The Traditional Service is led by our church Choir and
organist. If you love the old hymns you grew up singing - this
is the service for you.

Contemporary Service - 11:00 am
The Contemporary Service features the music of our Praise
Band. If you like contemporary Christian music, you will love
the high-energy sound and feel of this service.

A Children’s Message is given early in both services and
afterward the children are dismissed to go to Sunday School.
Sunday School is offered for all ages and nursery care is
available for very young children. However, children are always
welcome to remain in worship with their parents.

“For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
(Matthew 19:14)

minor repairs, all the while spreading their
special brand of good cheer.

UCC Statement of Faith

We believe in you, O God, Eternal Spirit,
God of our Savior Jesus Christ and our God, and to your
deeds we testify:

You call the worlds into being, create persons in your own
image, and set before each one the ways
of life and death.

You seek in holy love to save all people
from aimlessness and sin.

You judge people and nations by your
righteous will declared through
prophets and apostles.

In Jesus Christ, the man of Nazareth,
our crucified and risen Savior, you have come to us and
shared our common lot, conquering sin and death and
reconciling the world to yourself.

You bestow upon us your Holy Spirit, creating and
renewing the church of Jesus Christ, binding in covenant
faithful people of all ages, tongues, and races.

You call us into your church to accept the cost and joy of
discipleship, to be your servants in the service of others, to
proclaim the gospel to all the world and resist the powers of
evil, to share in Christ's baptism and eat at
his table, to join him in his passion and victory.

You promise to all who trust you forgiveness of sins
fullness of grace, courage in the struggle for justice and
peace, your presence in trial and rejoicing, and eternal life in
your realm which has no end.

Blessing and honor, glory and power be unto you.
Amen
