Our Philosophy…
Genesis Christian Preschool Childcare Center provides a safe, nurturing, educational program where children
can grow and develop in a positive environment. We value and respect families with children of all different
ethnicities, faith and backgrounds from age one through five.
Our philosophy is to encourage the development of each child in the areas of learning while focusing on
physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual growth. We believe that children are challenged through
active participation so we provide age-appropriate activities through which each child is guided by the teacher
towards their optimal developmental level. Our objective is to allow the children to engage, explore, create and
experiment in developmentally appropriate environments, which will allow them to become independent, self-
confident problem solvers.
We believe that cooperative communication efforts between family and staff are paramount to the success of the
children. We encourage active parental participation and strive to build a relationship of confidence and trust
where parents are informed of curriculum-based activities as well as children’s progress on a regular basis.
Our knowledgeable well-trained staff is committed to providing the children with challenging age-appropriate
activities based on sound early childhood principles. Their goal is to prepare and guide the children to succeed
in school with a sense of self worth by helping them develop at their fullest potential while learning basic skills.
Preschool…
Our preschool offers quality programs for one, two, three, and four-year olds. We pride ourselves in offering
quality programs using Creative Curriculum and having a wonderful staff of certified preschool teachers. It is our
goal to help mold loving and caring children. Our curriculum lays the foundation stones for math, reading, and
science skills. The children attend music classes weekly and chapel once a month with the pastor from
Longwood Hills Congregational Church.
After School Program…
We offer a quality after school program that gives Woodlands Elementary students a nurturing environment to
foster friendships and values. Our daily schedule includes snack time, homework and tutoring, as well as plenty
of outdoor and indoor play. We maintain a low teacher to student ratio and offer a positive environment for the
children.
